G02-14: St Barnabas Anglican Church, Flower's Cove NL ~ Watercolour Pencils on Paper, Unframed 12" x 9" ~ $45
Notes Built from 1919 to 1921, it is known as the skin-boot church, in the Gothic Revival style. Seeing the local need and desire for a church, Canon J T Richards had an idea for the would-be parishioners to make skin boots to raise money for the new church. The plan was a good one because it also helped the local economy. The boots were sold and half the money went to the church and half to the boot-maker. See Trip Advisor Attraction review.
